Limkokwing University of Creative Technology
Waxing lyrical about the amazing Limkokwing University Creativity in Motion fashion show which wrapped up in 2012 in style immediately after the University graduation ceremony which The Voice Editor, Emang Bokhutlo was invited to as a special guest. Dato Tiffaniee Marie Lim said ‘Fashion is like music in so many ways. It brings people together just as easily and I think it’s amazing to see people fixated on a fashion show just the same way they’d be at a concert. Fashion can take you to a different place, a different time, tell you stories and introduce you characters, heroes, and heroines. The view of the lake and the whole modern city is spectacular and to be honest we have been struggling to find a location we were really excited about, because we had been to all the biggest malls or hotels, and even looked at private airplanes hangers, but when we thought about it, there was nowhere as pretty and inspiring as the PICC. I love the venue and the fact that there was so much love in the audience. Next time we should have a show that goes all 360 degrees around that beautiful building.’’
Creativity in Motion is a series of fashion shows the University started because they wanted to describe the experience of Limkokwing University fashion show, which is always full of energy with fun models, great music, and energetic performances all put together by students, including promotions and logistics bringing together so many forms of creativity rolled into one.
Explaining why the next creativity in motion fashion show will be hosted in Botswana in March this year when the university will also launch their Fashion Line, the vibrant Dato Tiffaniee Marie Lim said ‘We can’t wait to bring Creativity in Motion to Botswana! What a thrill. We hope you guys will like it. It’s hopefully a student line that reflects the character of the University- pretty stylish and strong minded, but practical at the same time.
