24 September 2012 was a memorable day for many at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, especially for the 100 FELDA students under the University’s Generasi Baru programme who were selected for the Generasi Global study tour to London until January 2013. They are living their dreams in the United Kingdom at the University’s UK campus located at Mayfair, London.

Founder and President of Limkokwing University, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Lim Kok Wing played a pivotal role in transforming the lives of these lucky students. And just recently, these 100 FELDA students met with the Founder himself that resulted in overwhelming scenes.

The students shared their experiences in London up until then with Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing and the University’s Associate Vice President, Dato’ Tiffanee Marie Lim, both of whom visited the University’s London campus recently to personally ensure the welfare of the FELDA students were taken care of. Tan Sri Lim himself told the students what he expected and declared that when they return to Malaysia, they will be the “best FELDA graduates in the country”.

Hari Raya Aidiladha was one of its kind this year for the FELDA students as they celebrated the occassion together with other Malaysian students at Limkokwing London. Wearing their traditional attire, they filled the whole campus with laughter, kuih raya and happy Raya songs. These students have not only taken a big step ahead for their future but are also setting an example for many other students who are offered the same opportunities as them.
